The Warrior Life teaches you how to be successful in all areas of your life. Warriors are mentally and physically strong, so the show focuses on complete health. Laying the foundation for a warrior’s life takes commitment and dedication to all aspects of your well-being. The show airs twice a week. Tuesdays are an expansive version of my weekly blog, which teaches you how to break through bad diet cycles and create positive relationships with food to achieve the body and life of your dreams. Thursdays are interviews with experts to help you overcome the daily battles we all face: being young, aging, disorganization, work-life balance, stress, lack of sleep and more. Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know:

Australian who lives in London. He does extreme adventure challenges. He helps people get out of their comfort zones in simple ways. He is a real food cook, motivational speaker, and coach. Something most people don’t know is that he battled depression and hid it from them for a long time.

Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior:

His battle with depression is ongoing. When he started to speak about it openly after going through therapy it was a huge battle won for him.

Warrior They Look Up To:

His mom was his hope and inspiration during his battles.

Heart Of The Interview:

He felt like he was living a double life. He would train clients to reach their goals but had days where he didn’t want to get out of bed. He was a soccer player that had injuries which caused him not to play and thus started his depression. Luke talks openly and candidly about his battle with depression. He talks about how he was able to cope and handle his depression. You will really learn a lot from how he lived a double life to living a life of adventure.

What Being A Warrior Means To Them:

Fighting for something that you are passionate about.

Burnout sucks. I’ve experienced burnout multiple times in my life. I’m not proud of these moments but they happen. Last year (2015) I went through what I dubbed “craptastic” September. Honestly, I’ve never exploded and burned out the way I did that day and I will never forget it. There are 7 steps I created and have used on myself and others to help avoid burnout in your life.

Mariah is a 36-year-old mom who married her high school sweetheart. She works in corporate America and travels a ton. She also has a business called Because I Decided, which is all about how she decided to lose weight and transform her life.

On the day she delivered her son she weighed 275 and was mortified! That number stuck with and caused her to be depressed. However, she decided to make a change and lose weight.

Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior:

She battled her weight and body image issues. When she started losing weight but having a hard time with it. She wanted to lose the weight quickly and bought into, and it was so hard on her mentally and physically when she didn't live up to it. She shared how she hit rock bottom and had to learn how to not chase the perfect body.

Warrior They Look Up To:

She has a really amazing and strong family that she looks up to especially her grandparents. Her grandparents have an amazing relationship and are always there for every family even supporting everyone. They taught her how to put God first and take care of others.

Heart of The Interview:

She realized after having her son that her weight was holding her back from being the mom she wanted to be and showing up in her son’s life. She decided to get an at home workout program and start there. She didn’t know what would happen but she committed to seeing it through. She gained so much from just starting. Mariah shares how to show up every day and make those little decisions to make a big change in your life. She dives deep into helping you figure out why this diet will be different, why this time will be different, and how to make that change that will ultimately be different.

Everyone has imperfections. I repeat; everyone.

There is not a single person living that doesn’t have an imperfection. Actresses, actors, celebrities, Oprah; they all have imperfections. And the biggest difference between you and them is they’ve either learned to live with their imperfections or they’ve airbrushed over them.

In today’s podcast, I’m sharing my top three tips to help you accept your imperfections and become happier overall.

She is a Type A control freak and really battled this. This is something that has been with her all her life. As a teenager, she battled bulimia as another way for her to take control.

She goes through an ongoing battle of feeling unworthy. She didn’t know that was what she was struggling with until she had her “aha” moment recently. She was able to get through it through personal development, prayer, and reading the Bible.

She looks up to her mom as a warrior. She was a single mom that held strong to her faith and values and instilled them into her.

Being a mom, fitness entrepreneur, friend, daughter, sister, wife, and more can be difficult and leave you feeling unworthy. Kimberly shares how she is able to overcome this and how you can overcome this too by putting blinders on and finding your purpose.

Dr. Drew Hall

Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know:

As a junior in high school he was on the baseball team and got into a fight with a teammate, The guy eventually had him upside down and accidentally dropped him on his head and heard a crack. He  thought he was paralyzed but realized he was fine and moved on. Then slowly over a 6 month period, he ended up experiencing various symptoms like headaches, sinus issues, sleep issues. In the beginning, it was episodic but it got progressively worse and worse. Then he was nauseous for 2 years. This his arm started going numb. He figured it would eventually go away and never did. He eventually made his way to a holistic doctor that helped him remember the fight and recommended that he go to an upper cervical spine chiropractic. He finally got the answers and help he needed.

Heart Of The Interview:

This interview was fascinating for me to do. Dr. Drew dives deep into what the heck an upper cervical chiropractor is, how they are different from other chiropractors, and who should get their cervical spine check. He shares a wealth of knowledge about how the body works and why people are suffering from chronic issues. If you are dealing with a chronic issue or any issue at all then listen to this interview because you might discover a way to cure it without pills and operations.

Dorothy loves music and her favorite artist is Prince. She actually toured with him! In her professional life, she was in telecommunications and managed a sales team. Then at the age of 40, she decided to pursue her dream. She went to college, became a professional makeup artist, and life coach.

Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior:

Dorothy has gone through heartbreak at an early age. She was abandoned at the age of 4. She felt unloved growing up, she didn’t get along with stepmom, and never felt good enough. As a result of that, it lead to her losing her virginity at a young age in her quest to find love and acceptance. It wasn’t until she was 43 that she had her ‘aha’ moment.

Warrior They Look Up To:

That warrior that inspires her is her sister. Her sister moves her because she is so resilient. She became a mother as a teenager and bounced back from that to still pursue her dream. She faces adversity and pushes through.  

Heart of The Interview:

Her passion is to help women understand they are God’s masterpiece and they don’t need to be anyone else. She wants to help women love who they are. She feels that when a woman understands who she is she can show up in life powerfully, beautifully, and have an amazing life. She shares how to help you do that. She goes into steps, tips, and strategies to help you achieve this.

Having the mind of a winner.
